ABOUT ME
Lee Peery’s book looking back on his 42 years at The Cascades, is filled with anecdotes, history, and some very good stories. Over those years, he has made some life-long friends and some who are more like family. His love for The Cascades and the game of golf is present on every page.
People come to The Cascades from all over the place because it is a fun and challenging course. It is well known to be one of the best mountain courses in the USA. When I was playing my best, I needed every club in my bag for a round. That’s a sign of a very good golf course.
Lee is like an icon at The Cascades because everyone knows him and he knows everyone. I hope you enjoy his book as much as I did.
ABOUT BOOK
Native Bath County guy, Lee was born and raised in Hot Springs, Virginia. He worked as a brick mason and carpenter out of high school. After working for Hercules for five years, Lee went on to his forty-five year career at The Homestead. He has three daughters, who have moved on to successful careers of their own. Lee also enjoys his herd of grandchildren. He and his wife Lisa are now empty nesters. After being encouraged several times to write down his many stories about his time at The Cascades, he reluctantly embarked on the project. The result is a heartfelt, authentic and often humorous collection of memories with
undertones of wonderful life lessons.
